Anticipation is building for Christopher Nolan's next epic film, Deadline reports.
Universal has revealed Matt Damon to star in Nolan's adaptation of Homer's “Odyssey.”
The profile picture shows Damon, who worked with Nolan on “Oppenheimer,” dressed in military armor. The X post that shared this photo listed the film's release date as July 17, 2026.
It was revealed just before last Christmas that Nolan's final project would be an adaptation of Homer's aforesaid epic poem, written around the 8th century BCE. One of the foundational poetic texts of Western literature, the story follows Odysseus, king of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home from the Trojan War.
The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Benny Safdie, and Charlize Theron.
