Cher's daughter-in-law, Mariangela King, believes her famous mother-in-law is to blame for her son Elijah Blue Allman's relapse into drug use.
Elijah has battled drug addiction for years and has been to rehab several times.
And now his loved ones are terrified that he could go down the same dark path again, as his wife, Mariangela King, has filed for divorce.
Sources tell The Daily Mail that Mariangela King blames Cher for many of her problems.
"She gave Elijah so many chances, but she's not going to do that anymore," they said. "She trusted him that he was clean and she has reason to believe that he's not."
Mariangela filed for divorce on April 7, citing “irreconcilable differences” and asking for $6,000 a month in spousal support and “exclusive use of [their] 2025 Toyota Prius,” The Daily Mail reports.
The couple have had a tumultuous relationship. Allman even filed for divorce in 2025, but ultimately reconciled with King. But now, those close to her say King is “done” with him for good.
“To be honest, Cher had a lot to do with [King’s] decision to walk away from this toxicity,” the source said. “She blames Cher for all of her problems.”
“Her mother-in-law will only continue to cause problems, and Mariangela is tired of her, tired of him, and tired of all of this,” they added.
