The first photos of Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez, and Gayle King in space have emerged.
The all-female crew spent just four minutes in zero gravity, spending most of their time posing for the camera inside their space capsule.
In one photo, Perry, 40, holds a daisy and smiles for the camera. “Daisies are just flowers, but they grow in all kinds of conditions,” the singer told reporters after landing safely and kissing the ground. “They’re resilient. They’re powerful. They’re strong.”
Also, Perry performed “What A Wonderful World” during her space journey.
In another photo, Sanchez, 55, the fiancée of Amazon CEO and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos, smiles widely as she holds onto a railing inside the spacecraft.
Aisha Boe, a former NASA scientist, held up a patch representing the Bahamas while other female crew members performed handstands and forward rolls in space.
