This weekend, Cadillac announced that it will partner with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to support the inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men kicking off this July.
Cadillac got its initial taste of the fashion calendar in 2025 when it partnered with Agentry PR for the first New York Men’s Day at Industria Superstudio. Ernest Alexander, Bespoken, and David Hart put their design spin on Cadillac’s first ever ELR automobile for NYMD, and since then, brands that show at NYMD have designed versions of Cadillac cars that are presented at the studio. Cadillac will now work with NYFW Mens and will continue to partner with NYMD.

“The rise of menswear in the world of style provides a great opportunity to celebrate those who are true risk takers and innovators,” said Melody Lee, director of Brand Strategy & Planning, Cadillac. “As the presenting sponsor of New York Men’s Day and a supporting partner of New York Fashion Week: Men’s, Cadillac will play a significant role in unifying the world of men’s fashion and further enabling those who dare greatly.”
“We are very pleased to partner with Cadillac on the inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s,” said Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA. “The partnership is a natural fit given Cadillac’s commitment to design.”
Cadillac's interest in the fashion world could be spurned by Mercedes Benz's involvement in the event. With the company's involvement with the event lessened in New York City, Cadillac has the opportunity to expand on its fashion presence.
New York Fashion Week recently moved to new venues at Moynihan Station and Skylight Clarkson Square after it lost its five-year license with Lincoln Center after being accused of misusing Damrosch Park, where trees and perennial plantings were removed. The Men's shows were also moved from September to July to immediately follow the mens shows in Europe instead of showing with the women's collections after the Men's Market season.
New York Fashion Week: Men’s will be held at Skylight Clarkson Square from July 14th to 16th. As many as 28 designers will present their Spring/Summer 2025 collections that week including CFDA Award winners, Thom Browne, John Varvatos and Public School, and 15 additional designers will present off site. New York Men’s Day will be held on July 13th at Industria Superstudio with morning and evening sessions that will showcase the work of 12 designers including David Hart, Chapter, and Cadet.
