Dolce & Gabbana has set up shop in the heart of one of London’s most popular tourist areas with a holiday market in Covent Garden, translating the colours, symbols and atmosphere of Sicilian folklore to the historic area’s central Piazza until 15 January.

As well as the expected clothing, accessories and footwear, the pop-up includes food and beverages with unique products from brand partners Fiasconaro, Donnafugata, Pasta Di Martino, and Baci Perugina.
The luxury brand’s pop-up focuses on gift ideas from its home, accessories, sneaker and ready-to-wear collections. There’s also an exclusive T-shirt created for the occasion and available only at the Piazza’s store.
UK city centres are pulling out all the stops this festive season as they work to attract shoppers back to their streets after two years of muted footfall due to the pandemic.
Despite the tough economic backdrop and the abolition of VAT-free shopping for international visitors, London has seen a partial revival of tourist numbers with local visitors also happy to go shopping physically again. And many of them are seeking experiences as much as products.
Dolce & Gabbana is part of a wider initiative by the Covent Garden estate that includes pop-ups by Ugg, Jaeger LeCoultre, Lounge Underwear and other brands, as well the experiences people are looking for. They include a Winter Warmer Mulled Wine Festival, weekly shopping evenings that come with gospel choir performances, special performances at the Royal Opera House nearby, and dining experiences.
