Another supercomputer based on Nvidia will be launched in Armenia in mid-2025. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, announced this during his press conference Thursday to recap the past year.

Various Armenian research centers and companies sent a total of more than 20 applications for the use of the already operating French supercomputer, which was transferred to the Engineering City of Yerevan with the assistance of the Aznavour Foundation.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan informed that negotiations are underway for cooperation with Nvidia, a number of respective components have already been purchased, and this enables to expect the launch of a new supercomputer in the middle of the current year.

Most likely, it will be installed at Yerevan State University.

Developer teams are already sending requests to work with it.

A national supercomputer center was opened in Armenia in May 2025.

The Engineering City of Yerevan has not yet been completed, but more than 20 companies have already been located in its constructed part.

The new part will house the supercomputer center, as well as laboratories where prospective tasks for the industry will be studied.

The aforesaid supercomputer was brought to Armenia from France earlier.
