Rebag and ThredUp have unveiled a new partnership merging the luxury expertise of Rebag with ThredUp’s online resale platform.

Under the new partnership, Rebag customers gain the ability to resell gently-worn luxury items on ThredUp in exchange for Rebag shopping credit. Simultaneously, ThredUp customers can now access select Rebag inventory directly on thredup.com.
At the centre of the partnership is the launch of Rebag's Clean Out program, powered by ThredUp's Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS). This initiative allows Rebag customers to diversify the types of items they can send in for resale. With ThredUp's vast marketplace encompassing over 55,000 brands across 100 categories, Rebag customers can share an expanded range of closet items.
Likewise, ThredUp customers can explore and purchase one-of-a-kind handbags from Rebag directly on thredup.com. By featuring Rebag items on its platform, ThredUp is broadening its inventory selection, offering customers access to luxury items from brands such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Gucci, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton. Additional Rebag product categories, including watches and fine jewelry, are slated to be added soon.
"We are thrilled to partner with thredUP and further expand our resale offerings to new customers," said Charles Gorra, founder and CEO of Rebag. "Consumers will be able to shop an incredible assortment of luxury accessories in our expertly-vetted inventory through ThredUp and earn Rebag credit for sending in pre-loved items through ThredUp's Clean Out program.”
James Reinhart, CEO of ThredUp added: ”Industry collaboration is key to building a more sustainable future for fashion, and Rebag and thredUP have a shared vision around reuse's ability to reduce fashion's impact. Through our partnership, we're enabling more shoppers to participate in resale and ultimately encouraging people to make more sustainable shopping choices.”
To further promote circular shopping and sustainable fashion choices, Rebag and ThredUp plan to collaborate on educational initiatives and content. The partners are set to kick off a giveaway for their social followers next month.
