The plan to establish Margiela Japan and to transfer Margiela’s business operations away from Staff International Japan will become effective October 1.

In Japan in 1999, the three companies comprising Neuf, from France; the Mitsubishi Corporation; and Orizzonti-established Kokonoe Ltd assisted Maison Martin Margiela with its Japanese business launch. Then, in 2008, Staff International, under the umbrella of Diesel founder Renzo Rosso led- OTB, became a major shareholder and also developed other brands the company manufactures and sells such as Dsquared2. In 2010, Staff International acquired all shares and resolved the joint venture with Mitsubushi Corporation and the company name was changed to Staff International Japan the following year.
