French label A.P.C. has embarked on its Spanish retail journey, selecting number 17 on Madrid’s Calle Fernando VI as the site for its debut boutique, which reflects the brand’s timeless and minimalist aesthetic.

"Our first boutique in Spain spotlights a distinct blend of two materials: wood, central to A.P.C.'s design ethos, and granite, significant and native to the area," the brand stated in a post on Instagram. “This juxtaposition of colour and texture is intentionally woven throughout the store, from the display racks to the fitting rooms, creating a harmonious yet dynamic atmosphere.”

A.P.C., an acronym for Atelier de Production et de Création, offers both women's and men's collections characterized by what it describes as a "deliberately understated" style, eschewing extravagance for easy-to-wear pieces that prioritize "quality materials and timeless cuts."

The brand was founded in Paris in 1987 by Jean Touitou, later joined by his wife, Judith Touitou, who serves as the artistic director. In March 2025, investment fund L Catterton, co-founded by LVMH and the Arnault family, acquired a majority stake in the company to accelerate its international expansion.

With just over 100 stores in major cities such as Paris, New York, London, Berlin, and Tokyo—now including Madrid—A.P.C. launched a capsule collection last spring with Natacha Ramsay-Levi, formerly of Chloé, and also introduced its first sunglasses collection a few months ago.
