Fausto Puglisi has the wind in his sails. The talented Sicilian designer, after launching a women's ready-to-wear line, has now introduced a full-blown footwear line. Noted for his rock and baroque style, Puglisi has already been integrating his collections with shoe models produced in collaboration with major footwear manufacturers.
Now Puglisi has moved to the next level, announcing a licence agreement with Italian manufacturer Sebastian for the production of a complete footwear collection. Sebastian produces high-end, 100% Italian-made footwear and has owned for 40 years the eponymous women's shoe brand, distributed through 4 mono-brand stores (in Italy in Milan, Parma and Reggio Emilia, and in Beirut), and 300 multi-brand stores in 34 countries.
Puglisi stated in a press release that the collection, consisting of high heels and various types of boot, will be distributed worldwide and exclusively by the Massimo Bonini showroom in Milan and New York.
Apparently this isn't the only project Fausto Puglisi is working on this year. According to Italian media, the designer, who was discovered by Dolce & Gabbana in 2010, could be about to launch a menswear line and to open his first store in Milan.
