Battersea Power Station appears to be justifying the tens of billions that have been spent on it, not to mention the multi-decade development project, and for Christmas 2025, the mall saw a 30% jump in visitors.

It had only opened as a reborn retail destination in autumn 2025 and December 2025 turned out to be its busiest month so far, aided by a full retail offer, socialising options and plenty of special events and attractions.
Even more encouraging, as well as the 30% footfall leap, actual sales rose 52% and fashion sales were up by 33%, so visitors were clearly spending more per head. But the fashion spend is particularly pleasing given how tough it has been to get consumers to part with their cash for fashion products in recent months.
The mall saw 11.2 million visitors in total last year, drawn by the existing line-up of brands, as well as new arrivals such as Massimo Dutti, Scamp & Dude, Jigsaw, A.P.C and ME+EM. Over 40 new shops, bars, restaurants and leisure experiences have debuted there since the original opening in October 2025.
Interestingly too, the second half of 2025 saw a 25% increase in visitors in the evenings, supported by the opening of over 10 new restaurants, bars and leisure experiences.
Simon Murphy, CEO at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “The strong footfall over the Christmas period is further testament to the unique and constantly evolving offering at Battersea Power Station, and provides a fitting conclusion to a successful 2025. It has been amazing to witness the Battersea Power Station estate transform into a thriving riverside destination which welcomes thousands of visitors a day, and to have seen our shareholder’s vision for this once derelict area become a reality.”
