News of two more news stores scheduled to open for the ever-expanding Primark. The fashion and lifestyle value retail giant is planning to open in Glasgow Fort shopping centre. OK, it’s not opening until early 2025, but it will become its fourth branch in the city and 21st in Scotland. A lot nearer time-wise, the retailer is also opening a store in Salisbury, Wiltshire, next month.

The new Glasgow store will measure 33,000 sq ft across two floors offering Primark basics and trending items across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, beauty and home.
The out-of-town retail park store will complement Primark’s existing stores in central Glasgow on Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street, as well as its Parkhead Forge shopping centre store.
Primark UK Retail Director Kari Rodgers commented: “We know that thriving high streets and shopping locations benefit us all, so we’re committed to investing in our Scottish stores and creating experiences for our customers to enjoy across the country.
Meanwhile, it will open the doors to its Salisbury branch on 13 September. The 29,700 sq ft store in the old BHS building in the Old George Mall will span two floors. Primark is one of the few UK retailers big enough to occupy a converted BHS site.
The opening, which comes as part of its £140 million investment in UK retail by the end of 2025, has led to the creation of more than 100 new roles.
Primark Salisbury is the retailer’s first new store opening in England in over two years and will become the retailer’s 192nd in the UK as it approaches its 50th anniversary next year.
