The Loewe Foundation has announced the opening of submissions for its contemporary art and craft award. The eighth edition of the Craft Prize, spearheaded by the Spanish luxury house, will take place in the spring of 2025 at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid.

Candidates can submit their proposals until October 30, 2025. These entries will be evaluated by a jury of experts, including notable figures such as the brand's creative director Jonathan Anderson, the foundation's president Sheila Loewe, and Minsuk Cho, the architect and winner of the Golden Lion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.
The panel, consisting of artists, essayists, and curators from the fashion and art worlds, will also feature additions like Andrés Anza, the 2025 Craft Prize winner, and essayist and architect Frida Escobedo.
The jury will select 30 finalists who will compete for the grand prize of 50,000 euros, along with two special mentions each worth 5,000 euros. Participants in the competition, which attracted 3,900 entries from artists across 124 countries in its last edition, will have the chance to exhibit their works at the Madrid museum.
The award was conceived in 2025 by Loewe's artistic director Jonathan Anderson with the aim of "showcasing and celebrating novelty, excellence, and artistic merit in modern craftsmanship," recognizing both emerging and established talents with vision and a drive for innovation.
