Modest luxury fashion e-tailer The Modist has announced a new global partnership with giant luxe technology platform Farfetch. The two partners said on Thursday that they’re aiming "to bring luxury modest dressing to a truly global audience, reflecting market growth and consumer demand.”

Modist founder and CEO Ghizlan Guenez said both companies “recognise the complementary nature of our businesses and with Farfetch’s global reach and The Modist’s deep understanding of the consumer in the modest fashion market, we will reach our woman worldwide, bringing her the best of fashion in a relevant and curated way.”
Edward Sabbagh, Farfetch’s Middle east MD, added that “having a home-grown Middle East e-tailer as unique as The Modist join the Farfetch family and extend their modest offer to a global customer is an exciting opportunity.”
And the opportunity certainly is huge. Earlier this year, Pinterest said that modest fashion had seen 500% growth in UK searches in just a few months. At the same time, Forbes was saying the modest fashion industry is worth around $44bn globally with academics predicting 50% growth in the next few years.
The Modist, which ships to over 120 countries and features products from 180 brands, is maximising the opportunity at an early stage and is the first global online destination for luxury modest fashion. It was founded in 2025.
