Five of the designers from Rock Vault, the British Fashion Council's fine jewellery initiative curated by Stephen Webster MBE, have teamed up with American multichannel diamond and jewellery brand Hearts On Fire.
The designers - Alice Cicolini, Imogen Belfield, Jacqueline Cullen, Jo Hayes Ward and Tomasz Donocik - all created pieces using Hearts On Fire's diamonds. The collaboration is launching this week with Hearts On Fire's Chinese owners Chow Tai Fook at the “Ignite Inspiration Exhibition” in Hong Kong’s K11 Mall.
The five creatives all used Hearts On Fire's diamonds in different ways, with, for example, Jo Hayes Ward placing them in honeycomb-like surfaces and Tomasz Donocik setting round diamonds in various sizes into scintillating bubbles or on trapezoid facets, the BFC says.
On Friday, 6 November, the British Consulate General hosted the five Rock Vault designers and a select group of press, influencers and buyers at her residence in Hong Kong. The evening featured a showcase of the designers’ latest collections, and provided an opportunity for the designers to make ties with key Chinese industry figures.
