Edgewell Personal Care Company announced it has completed the acquisition of Texas-based luxury men's skincare company Jack Black, LLC. The brand was ranked the #1 best-selling men's skincare brand for 2025 by NPD Group.

Jack Black was founded in Dallas, TX in 2000 and manufactures men's prestige grooming and skincare products. The brand was created out of the sentiment that "the modern man wanted something he wasn’t getting: Nothing complicated. Nothing cosmetic."
The complete line of Jack Black products is fragrance-free, colorant-free, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, and dermatologist-tested. Skincare lines range in specialized offerings from acne treatment to sun protection, and the company also offers shave, body, hair and fragrance lines.
The Jack Black community offers an integrated consumer experience that helped drive the brand to the top selling spot last year. The brand's blog features categories including grooming, lifestyle, and sports and fitness, and there is section on the website with how-to videos for hair, shaving and grooming. The company also has 52,000 likes on Facebook and 13,000 Instagram followers.
Edgewell's portfolio includes men's and women's shaving brands Schick, Edge and Skintimate. It owns feminine care brands Playtex, Carefree and O.B., and sun care brands Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat, as well as another men's grooming brand Bulldog.
The company operates in 50 global markets, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany, Japan and Australia. It has approximately 6,000 global employees.
The acquisition was funded from operating cash. Specific terms were not disclosed.
