Swiss watch giant Movado Group and Spanish watch distribution specialist CityTime have joined forces to commercialise Calvin Klein's jewellery and watches on the Spanish market.

According to the terms of the agreement signed by the parties, the Movado group will be responsible for designing, developing and commercialising the US label's watches and jewellery for the next five years, with CityTime as its local partner in Spain.
“The strategy [the parties] want to implement is to distribute the brand selectively, so that [Calvin Klein] will be available throughout the country, consolidating its existing distribution network and improving its accessibility with new stores where the brand was not previously present, upholding product quality and improving service,” said Ignacio Moreno, managing director of CityTime.
The new Calvin Klein watch and jewellery articles designed by Movado are already available on the market, and CityTime's goal is “making [Calvin Klein] the group’s second brand in the coming months, challenging for first place within two or three years,” as CityTime indicated in a press release.
CityTime has been active on the Spanish market for more than 25 years, and its portfolio includes brands like Hugo Boss, Cluse, Itemporality and PdPaola. It specialises in jewellery and watch distribution, and has a staff of over 200 people.
