Gloucester Quays has seen one major retailer dramatically upsize and a lifestyle/fashion brand join the popular South West UK retail outlet destination.

Mountain Warehouse, the UK’s largest specialist outdoor retailer, is upsizing this summer while its 2025-acquired brand Animal is about to make its debut there.
Mountain Warehouse will open its 7,000 sq ft outlet store this summer, more than trebling the size of its existing unit. And fashion and lifestyle brand Animal will be part off that dual-frontage new position, featuring its range of coastal, lifestyle fashion.
The bigger store will allow Mountain Warehouse to feature its full range of extensive outdoor clothing and equipment, designed for activities such as hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, running and fitness.
Products on offer will include both women’s and menswear, as well as footwear and equipment such as tents, sleeping bags and backpacks.
Mountain Warehouse, which operates over 350 stores internationally, is relocating from its store adjacent to Skechers, to the bigger location adjacent to Levi’s.
Three doors down, sportswear giant brand Puma recently launched its new 2,184 sq ft outlet.
Paul Carter, Asset Director at Gloucester Quays’ owner/operstor Peel L&P, said: “The recommitment of a top UK retailer in Mountain Warehouse to Gloucester Quays is a huge vote of confidence in the quality of the offer that we have curated here, as yet another retailer opting to upsize within the destination following the success of an existing store.”
Mark Neale, founder of Mountain Warehouse, added: “Gloucester Quays has been the perfect home for our brand. We are committed to providing specialist, top-quality products at great prices for lovers of the outdoors, and our new, bigger and better store will allow us to keep doing so at a first-rate level.”
