Perry Ellis International, Inc. announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a license agreement with Al Matjar Al Watany Trading Establishment granting the rights to design and distribute Original Penguin by Musingwear in Saudi Arabia.
Original Penguin is a wholly owned subsidiary under Perry Ellis that combines sportswear with contemporary fashion targeted at style-savvy consumers. The brand will be distributed at Al Matjar Al Watany retail stores as well as mall and street retail locations. A social media campaign will be launched in the country to raise awareness about the brand.
In addition to Original Penguin, Perry Ellis owns several other brands including its namesake brand Perry Ellis, Rafaella, Cubavera, Ben Hogan, Grand Slam, Axist and Farah among others, as well as licensing trademarks from third parties such as Nike and Jag for swimwear, and Callaway, PGA Tour and Jack Nicklaus for golf apparel.
