Adidas Outdoor has opened a new sales-focused office in Golden, Colorado to serve its Rocky Mountain region. The Colorado showroom will house sales reps and support the western market in key sales areas.

Greg Thomsen, Managing Director for Adidas Outdoor USA, said in a release, "The Colorado office’s central location will help better support our core customers and keeps our focus close to the mountains where our inspiration comes from."
Adidas recently added four sales managers to its US team who all live in Colorado. Additionally, the company has seen growth from its Terrex and Five Ten outdoor-focused brands. It adds the 2,400-square-foot Colorado showroom to its existing LA sales headquarters in the western US.
Adding a Colorado corporate location for Adidas certainly seems to make sense within the company's strategy to continue pursuing the outdoor market. It will be geographically convenient for the brand to continue forging partnerships in the industry, such as the one it has already established with the City of Aspen for a backcountry marathon.
Adidas also has a partnership as the title sponsor for another trail running series with Aspen Skiing Company. With the outdoor industry moving its Outdoor Retailer trade show to Denver, a Colorado office will be able to serve as Adidas' basecamp for its operations in the sector.
New Colorado office head Pete Schuster said, “The new office means more opportunities to connect with the organizations and retailers in the Rockies and provides a meeting place for key accounts for line showings, and events around industry and outdoor events.”
Adidas Outdoor was founded by Adi Dassler in the 70s with the goal of making a durable trekking shoe. It positions itself as the athletic brand in the outdoors space and offers some of Adidas' most rugged products, typically used outside of the gym.
The new Adidas office is located in the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, Colorado. Adidas shares the building with the American Alpine Club.
