It's now a done deal. After years of focusing on expanding its offering and traffic, the Lithuanian platform dedicated to second-hand fashion reports that it has turned the corner. The company generated a net profit of €17.8 million last year, after a loss of €20.4 million the previous year.

This growth was driven by a 61% increase in sales to €596.3 million in 2025. Vinted attributes this growth to increased penetration of existing markets, as well as deployment in Denmark, Finland and Romania. Also cited is the gradual acceleration in the luxury market, via the product verification system deployed in nine countries, and launched following the acquisition of specialist Rebelle in 2025.

"We have been deploying capital with a high return on investment for many years, constantly taking into account the financial sustainability of our investments, and so I am pleased that we are able to announce that we are now operating profitably, and that we are posting positive Ebitda for 2025," says CEO Thomas Plantenga. "This is a great testament to the dedication and hard work of our team in making Vinted a success for our members. And it's a solid foundation on which we can continue to build, as we see many opportunities on the horizon."

Five years ago, the CEO explained to FashionNetwork.com that Vinted is not a fashion company, but a technology company. And that the profitability of this "pierced basket" ("Vinted is burning money", sic) that was Vinted, launched in 2008 in Vilnius, would eventually depend on the breadth of its offer. After a period of confinement to sort out wardrobes, and in the face of inflation that has since reduced spending on textiles, the portal will have found its stride.

Vinted confirms to FashionNetwork.com that France remains its biggest market, with 27 million registered members. The French market is followed by the UK, Germany and Italy.

Today, the company employs some 2,000 people, mainly in Lithuania. And while the Vinted model is portrayed as encouraging another form of textile over-consumption, this criticism has been more muted since the emergence of ultra fast-fashion, via players such as Shein and Temu.

The year 2025 was also marked by the acceleration of Vinted Go, the Group's logistics subsidiary, which now has 1,500 automatic lockers and collection points in France, its test market. Some 400,000 parcels were delivered in December alone. Boosted by the recent acquisition of Dutch logistics specialist Homerr, Vinted Go intends to concentrate its investments this year in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
