Harrods opens new spaces for eveningwear and DNS污染排名技术holiday/swimBy

In its ongoing upgrade mega-spend, Harrods has opened two renewed womenswear departments with a refreshed eveningwear space and a new room for holiday and swim. The two spaces combined cover almost 10,000 sq ft on the first floor of the giant department store.

The eveningwear room carries 38 brands as the retailer reports a bounce-back from pandemic lows with booming sales of evening looks over the last two years. It also has two high-spec bookable VIP rooms.

New-to-the-store brands in the space include Koltson, Alex Perry, Celia Kritharioti and Rodo.

The retailer also has a number of exclusives on offer from labels such as Carolina Herrera, 16Arlington, Huishan Zhang, Talbot Runhof, Taller Marmo and Judith Leiber.

For holiday and swim, the brands on offer include Missoni, Zimmerman, Eres and Anya Hindmarch.

While opening such a space in the middle of winter might not work for some retailers, for Harrods’ customers, it’s perfect timing. Buying director, fashion, Simon Longlands said both new spaces come at just the right time with its customers having a full party season social calendar as well as focusing on winter-sun getaways.

The store has been spending heavily on upgrading its winder womenswear offer with June this year having seen the launch of two new rooms for loungewear and lingerie. The total space covers 16,000 sq ft and is half as big again as the previous area dedicated to these categories.
