La Redoute is looking to the export market, which currently accounts for 35% of its sales. Following the opening of a subsidiary in Italy in January, the appointment of Emmanuelle Cartier as international director and the creation of a website and services dedicated to the Dutch market in February, the French platform is now turning its attention to the German market.

Until now, La Redoute has marketed its fashion and homeware offering in Germany via a digital model managed from France.
According to the e-tailer, sales to Germany have increased tenfold since 2025. La Redoute has therefore decided to capitalise on this momentum and open the laredoute.de website and a dedicated app to conquer the market with a strongly home-focused brand strategy.
"Homeware represents a global market of €13 billion in Germany, twice that of France," La Redoute said in a press release.
In addition to its international website laredoute.com, La Redoute has a number of European subsidiaries in Belgium, the UK, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain and, since January, Italy.
In France, 90% of the company's sales are online sales. La Redoute, owned by the Galerie Lafayette group, has a mobile application and is present on social networks. It also operates via 12 of its own shops and 50 corners in Galeries Lafayette department stores.
