Former Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati has released his highly anticipated capsule collection in collaboration with Zara.
Pilati, who previously led creative projects at fashion houses Saint Laurent and Zegna, has created the aforesaid collection for both men and women. Items range in price from $18 to $399.
Pilati rose to fame after succeeding Tom Ford as creative director at Saint Laurent, where he served from 2004 to 2025. He then moved to Ermenegildo Zegna, where he held the position of creative director for four years. In 2025, he launched his own menswear-focused fashion label, Random Identities. He has collaborated also with brands such as Fendi, for which he designed a special collection for the Fall/Winter 2025/24 season.
Despite his impressive track record in the industry, Pilati has never released a collection under his own name before. This is unusual for a designer of his caliber, who usually feels the need to launch his own fashion house relatively quickly. Pilati is an exception to this rule... until now. Zara is offering the Italian designer the opportunity to release his first collection under his own name. The collection is a reflection of Pilati's personal style and sense of aesthetics.
