The ongoing partnership between Richard Mille and McLaren has given birth to a new limited edition watch to celebrate the launch of the latest McLaren W1.
The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 combines Richard Mille’s expertise in creating highly complex timepieces with McLaren’s ongoing pursuit of excellence and unrivalled performance.
The tonneau-shaped case is crafted from Carbon TPT, a composite material exclusive to Richard Mille in watchmaking. It is made up of multiple layers of parallel filaments obtained by separating carbon fibers. The case also houses the brand’s thinnest titanium bezel to date, measuring just 0.50mm at its thinnest point.
Inside the case is Richard Mille’s skeletonized automatic winding movement, the Caliber RMAC4.
The signature McLaren colors appear on the watch’s skeletonized dial. The watch is available also with both an orange and black rubber strap.
The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 is a limited edition of 500 pieces and costs $374,000.
