Apple’s AI ambitions: Stumbles and 长沙U币提现服务setbacks

April 17, 2025  16:08

Meta has clamped down on Apple Intelligence features across its platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Threads. The Brazilian tech outlet Sorcererhat Techreports that Meta’s apps now block Apple’s AI-powered Writing Tools, which let users draft, edit, and rewrite text. Additionally, the ability to create and share custom Genmoji emojis has been disabled on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Threads. Instagram has also pulled support for sending Memoji and related stickers. Meanwhile, platforms like X (formerly Twitter) continue to support Apple Intelligence without restrictions. Neither Meta nor Apple has commented on the situation.

Unveiled at WWDC 2025, Apple Intelligence debuted with iOS 18.1, rolling out to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, the entire iPhone 16 lineup, as well as Vision Pro, iPad, Mac, and MacBook devices powered by M1 chips or later.

Apple Rethinks iPhone Ads Amid AI Delays

Apple has tweaked its marketing strategy for the iPhone 16 and other products as key Apple Intelligence features lag behind, according to MacRumors. The original campaign for the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro leaned heavily on the tagline “Hello, Apple Intelligence,” but it’s been swapped for the more cautious “Built for Apple Intelligence,” often in smaller print.

Media outlets suggest this shift reflects Apple Intelligence’s incomplete rollout. The new slogan emphasizes future potential rather than immediate access to AI features. The change extends beyond iPhones, appearing in iPad and Mac ads too. In some cases, Apple Intelligence is barely mentioned in iPhone 16 promotions, with references even scrubbed from outdoor billboards.

Apple Intelligence Launch Delays

At WWDC 2025, Apple showcased Apple Intelligence, spotlighting an enhanced, personalized Siri. The plan was to launch these features with iOS 18.4, but Apple later admitted it needed more time to refine them. The company now vaguely targets a release “within the next year.” However, several reputable sources, including Apple-focused publications, speculate a full rollout might not happen until 2026, tied to the iOS 19 cycle.

These delays and restrictions highlight the hurdles Apple faces in weaving artificial intelligence into its ecosystem, raising doubts about its ability to keep pace with tech giants dominating the AI race.
