Inditex is continuing to grow the presence of multiple chains in the UK and is set to open is first-ever Pull&Bear store in Wales, as well as adding more stores to its Bluewater line-up in Kent.

The Welsh debut will be at Landsec’s key mall there — St David’s in Cardiff.

The Spanish fashion retail giant has taken 8,500 sq ft across two floors for Pull&Bear. It means St David’s will become home to five of Inditex’s brands, bringing its total footprint at the centre to over 60,000 sq ft.

Inditex has increasingly been creating supermall hubs for a basket of its brands in the UK as the retailer’s strategy sees it focusing on the creation of fewer, bigger and digitally connected stores.

With that in mind, the company will also open two locations at another key Landsec property, Bluewater.

That giant mall (which was Europe’s largest when it opened a quarter of a century ago) lost a number of major fashion chains occupying big spaces with the demise of Arcadia and other physical retailers due to the pandemic.

But the arrival of Inditex’s Pull&Bear and Bershka there will significantly add to its fashion credentials.

Both brands will open in 10,000 sq ft spaces at the mall with the Bershka branch including its full Bershka, BSK, and Man offer. Inditex currently has a large flagship Zara at Bluewater as well as a smaller Massimo Dutti.

It will also open a previously announced 46,000 sq ft flagship Zara at Trinity Leeds later this summer, upsizing and relocating into the centre from its current location elsewhere in the city.
