Supermodel and activist Arizona Muse is preparing to add the job of fashion designer to her resume.
The fashion star, who has long been a champion of environmentally-friendly clothing, is preparing to launch her own collection of party dresses this April, WWD reports. The line, which will be created with Georgie Macintyre, artistic director at Matthew Williamson, will be fabricated using sustainable materials. It is scheduled to go on sale in September.
Muse has been getting plenty of practice in ahead of the big launch, having recently teamed up with a group of high-profile designers during London Fashion Week on an event showcasing sustainable garments made with materials she helped to source. She also recently dreamed up four sustainable pieces for the Italian blazer label Blazé Milano.
Fashion collections are fast becoming a right of passage for many of the top models in today's industry, with Gigi Hadid enjoying a longstanding collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger and Kendall Jenner heading her own successful ‘Kendall + Kylie' brand with younger sister Kylie Jenner. Model Emily Ratajkowski launched her swimwear brand, Inamorata, last year, while breakout catwalk star Kaia Gerber reportedly has a collection with Karl Lagerfeld in the works.
