Primark’s trial of click & collect services is clearly working with the value-focused retailer extending it to its womenswear offer. That’s a key move given the importance of womenswear to the firm.

The company said up to 1,000 womenswear products are to be added to the service across the 57 UK stores where click & collect currently operates, joining its kids’ and nursery ranges already available.
The extension starts next week (13 September) with the company focusing on stores in Greater London, the North West of England and North Wales. It also means the total click & collect product offer from the firm adds up to around 2.500 items.
Importantly, it said it means “a far wider womenswear choice for customers, featuring ranges usually only available in larger Primark stores”. That means its more trend-focused AW23 collections as well as the popular Edit collection which features more premium fabrics, blends and detailing. The Edit is currently only available in selected UK stores.
A selection of in-store bestsellers will be available in an extended range of colours and styles as online-exclusive options. And specialist products (such as womenswear, lingerie and nightwear for maternity, breast cancer, menopause and more) will be available too.
The stores taking part in the trial include Primark’s multi-storey flagships on either end of London’s Oxford Street and in the centres of Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield, as well as smaller high street locations such as Hackney and Hammersmith in the UK’s capital and Lancaster and Llandudno further north.
