Fashion Forward Dubai is a semi-private organisation supported by the Dubai Fashion Council and Dubai Design. After holding 7 editions that are part fashion week and part professional trade show, from 30th September to 5th October it will hold its first showroom in Paris.
The event grew out of Dubai's Epic Samsung programme, designed to promote Middle-Eastern brands and to make Dubai one of the world's foremost fashion hubs.
The FFWD showroom was co-produced by global fashion consultant Muriel Piaser, and will showcase Spring/Summer 2025 collections by 12 designers.
The majority are established accessories and ready-to-wear brands, such as Rula Galayini's handbags and clutches, notably sold at the Galeries Lafayette's Dubai department store, or contemporary labels like Zena Presely and Bedouin, which prefer a contemporary style to the 'evening dress' approach and are available at several stores in the Middle East.
The first FFWD Paris event will open at Robert Dodd's showroom at 2 rue Gabriel Vicaire, in the 3rd arrondissement.
