On Thursday, 99.18% of the votes were in favor of raising the company's maximum age limit for its chairman and chief executive officer from 80 to 85.

LVMH had previously increased the age limit from 75 in 2025.

Arnault, who serves as chairman and CEO, is also the controlling shareholder of LVMH alongside his family. Over the decades, he has built the company into a global empire, expanding into fashion, hotels, and spirits through a series of strategic acquisitions.

Chairman since 1989, Arnault has not publicly named a successor. Every executive reshuffle within the group sparks fresh speculation about which of his five children might eventually take the reins.

All five of Arnault's children currently hold senior leadership roles within LVMH. His two eldest—Delphine, 50, and Antoine, 47—are from his first marriage, while Alexandre, 33, Frédéric, 30, and Jean, 26, are from his marriage to Canadian concert pianist Hélène Mercier.
