American sportswear company Under Armour and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team have renewed their partnership after eight national championships and more than 30 Olympians over the last 10 years. Over the next decade, Under Armour will work with Notre Dame to co-create customised uniforms, footwear, and apparel for the university’s 26 varsity teams.
Under Armour’s innovation and design teams are already finalising new football uniforms for the Fighting Irish that are unique to the collegiate landscape and feature first-of-their-kind embellishment and trim innovations, the brand said in a press release.
The next chapter of the partnership will focus on deepening brand alignment through student-athlete engagement. By facilitating opportunities for student athletes to have hands-on involvement in Under Armour’s innovation and design processes, the company aims to create personalised product solutions and grow brand love while exposing students to various business functions within the apparel, footwear, and accessories industry.
