Hobbs has made its debut at Hertfordshire mall Atria Watford as part of the mid-market womenswear brand’s new expansion strategy. The new 3,300 sq ft store will showcase the brand’s latest collections and will also offer a personal styling service.

The store itself incorporates aesthetic elements including a stone-style entrance and contemporary soft furnishings.

The store is situated in Charter Place, a prime location in the centre, which owners SGS/Global Mutual noted is now fully let for first time since the development completed in 2025.

Hobbs sits close to Next (94,000 sq ft store) and Zara (having doubled its size to18,000 sq ft), both of which have made significant investments in their stores. Other headline tenants include Mango, Uniqlo and Hollister.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: “We are… delighted that Charter Place has reached the significant milestone of being fully let… [providing] a real boost to centre footfall and spend.”

Last month, TFG London-owned Hobbs announced it was back in store opening mode in the UK with stores also in London’s Canary Wharf and Manchester’s Trafford Centre. Internationally, it will open in Cork in Ireland, in Hamburg, Hong Kong and New York State’s Westchester.

This will bring its total store count to around 80 (plus 128 concessions in its domestic market and abroad).
