Dries Van Noten finally has a store in London with the label this week having opened its very first standalone store there.

And it’s not on one of the more obvious thoroughfares such as Bond Street or Sloane Street. Instead it’s tucked away discreetly on Hanover Square. It’s not far from Bond Street but is still in a location where it’s more likely to be discovered by those who were looking for it than by casual passers-by.
As such it’s part of the wider reinvention of the square as a location for luxury shopping rather than the offices and galleries that previously dominated it. It’s also part of the general spread of the luxury sector to take in more streets than ever in Mayfair.

The new store is housed in a former bank and mixes heritage touches in the architecture and interiors along with the modernism expected from the brand. The Chandelier-lit space carries the label’s womenswear, accessories and menswear, along with fragrance and beauty, antiques and design.
The brand has been choosing a higher profile in London of late. Last autumn it took over Selfridges’ windows and also expanded the square footage covered by its concession on the London flagship’s second floor, growing into a space formerly occupied by Loewe.

It’s also available across town in Knightsbridge inside Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
After Dries Van Noten recently stepped back from the label he founded, Julian Klausner was promoted to the hot seat by owner Puig. The creative director began his career at Maison Margiela but has been with Dries Van Noten since 2025 and worked with Van Noten himself for a number of years.
