Battersea Power Station has named Sam Cotton Head of Asset Management and Kate Boothman Meier Head of Communications and Marketing following its reopening as a major London mall in October.

Battersea Power Station

The company behind the mall, Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said the roles are a newly-created with Cotton being promoted from Head of Leasing. He assumes responsibility for the management of the commercial assets within the estate.

With over 14 years of experience, he joined Battersea Power Station in 2025 from Capco Covent Garden and has “been responsible for leading the successful leasing of the Power Station and Electric Boulevard.

And Kate Boothman Meier, current Head of Communications, has had Marketing added to her remit. She’ll now be responsible for all marketing and communications activities across the project.

She’s “been central in raising the profile of Battersea Power Station throughout her six-year tenure”.

BPSDC chief executive Simon Murphy said: “These internal appointments demonstrate the strength in depth, expertise and capability of the Battersea team. On behalf of all of the team and the shareholders, I would like to extend congratulations to both Sam and Kate who I’m sure will continue to excel in their new positions as the project enters an exciting new chapter.”

The appointments come as the mall unveils its Christmas activities. It has undergone a festive transformation with a Christmas trail including “eye-catching decorations” inside the Turbine Halls, a Giant Bauble Selfie Spot along the River Walk, a Christmas street food market on The Coaling Jetty and more.

The festivities running until January include Glide at Battersea Power Station, London’s only riverside ice rink; family-friendly performances from Battersea Power Station Community Choir; interactive Christmas decoration workshops, visiting Santa, and live music performances.
