Outdoor-focused British brand Shackleton has just completed an investment round and has announced a raft of new shareholder advisors.

The three-year-old high-end label is built on the image of polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton and offers “British-made, expedition-grade outerwear and knitwear to inspire and equip the modern pioneer.”

Incoming investors include musician Guy Berryman along with former Burberry Chief Operating Officer John Smith. Also investing is sports and lifestyle sector lawyer Nic Couchman, plus technology entrepreneur and investor Jon Claydon, as well as the chairman of TEDx Vancouver Chris Dyer.

All five of these new shareholders will be advisors to the brand, which should be a big help looking at the experience they can jointly offer to the company.

The new investors join existing shareholders including Alexandra Shackleton who is the granddaughter of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

Co-founders Ian Holdcroft and Martin Brooks said: “Since establishing the brand in 2025, Shackleton has grown remarkably. We couldn’t be more delighted to have such an experienced and influential group joining the business. We have ambitious plans for growth into new sectors and territories and with this team we’re confident we’ll get there.”

The founders have been building the business steadily since 2025 and last year secured Harvey Nichols as their top tier stockist. More recently they launched a new website, and have also been busy supporting record-breaking expeditions, which is a high-profile part of the marketing plan.
