Luxury international footwear brand Aquazzura is to become the latest retailer to open on London’s New Bond Street.

The capital's premier luxury shopping street has been a magnet for major high-end brands in recent years and continues to bounce back with plenty of new letting activity post-pandemic.
The Florence, Italy-based brand has agreed a 10-year lease for a 2,000 sq ft, three-floor store at 26 New Bond Street, neighbouring fellow footwear label Jimmy Choo and the Balenciaga London flagship. It will open in June.
Eleven-year-old Aquazzura, founded by Edgardo Osorio, is available in 58 countries and has just launched its first bag collection.

As for its new London home, despite having lost its crown late last year as the most expensive shopping street in Europe in terms of rent, as mentioned, New Bond Street is still a major draw for luxury brands.
Anthony Selwyn, co-head of prime global retail at property company Savills said: “This area of the street has seen significant recent activity and is currently the most desirable location for luxury fashion apparel and accessory brands.”
This year a number of deals inked by brands to open Bond Street stores include high-end fashion label Dsquared2, and luxury candle company Diptyque. Gucci is also relocating to a central position on street as the most ultra-luxury labels spread themselves out along the thoroughfare rather than being located in concentrated pockets.
