Tod’s has inaugurated a new store in the heart of Saint-Tropez, a resort luxury labels flock to each summer, opening temporary stores or personalising the local beach clubs. The Italian luxury footwear label already had a store in the area, but has now moved to a new address.
Tod’s, which recently announced the departure of Creative Director Walter Chiapponi, whose last collection will be presented in Milan next September, has moved from number 52 to number 62 on rue François Sibilli, introducing simple, stripped-back new interiors with a “carefree, laid-back luxury” feel.
The ample, windowed entrance opens on a space characterised by a palette of natural hues. The decor features silver mirrors, hanging shelves in travertine marble, and accents in Tod's signature Vacchetta leather. An in-house personalisation service for select items is available to customers, Tod’s said in a press release.
The store showcases the label's accessories collections for men and women, including iconic models like the Di Bag lambskin handbag, the Gommino Bubble suede moccasins with rubber-nub soles, a selection of handbags from the T Timeless collection, raffia sandals from the current summer collection, and the men’s Riviera slip-on loafers.
Tod’s currently operates three monobrand stores in France. Besides the one in Saint-Tropez, it has two stores in Paris, in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and rue du Dragon. It is also available at department stores like Bon Marché, Printemps, and Galeries Lafayette in the French capital, as well as at the Galeries Lafayette branch in Strasbourg.
