New brands continue to be attracted to Portman Estate’s London properties.The latest is independent eyecare specialist Maculara has opened its debut London store at Regent House, Edgware Road.

The retailer offers an extensive range of premium eyewear combined with eyecare, the latter’s consultants delivering clinical treatments. This new opening, adjacent to Townhouse Marble Arch, “will bolster Edgware Road’s retail and amenity offering, in line with The Portman Estate’s long-term ambitions for the area”.

A wave of new lettings across Marble Arch follows the Oxford Street signing by Great Portland Estates of TK Maxx for a 22,500 sq ft store at Mount Royal and commitment from Superdrug to renew for 10 years at their existing Marble Arch store.

Also being seen as a major boost to the area is the arrival of  the new 25,999 sq ft flagship Moco Museum, the first in the UK, adjacent to Marble Arch/Edgware Road.The retail, leisure and cultural offer sees the brand open its largest contemporary art collection across three floors.

The landmark scheme, “underlines The Portman Estate’s role in driving commercial development in London’s West End”.
