H&M is diving even deeper into beauty this autumn with the company saying it’s “reimagined” its own make-up brand, launching a new range of mascaras, blusher, lipsticks and more.

It’s using “high-quality vegan formulas” as the “defining features of an assortment that is sleeker and better than ever before”.

The new products launch next month with the offer being expanded further throughout 2025.

And to mark the move, it’s linked up with celebrity make-up artist Raoúl Alejandre, who it said has “a client roster and portfolio that both impresses and inspires”.

It added that the launch “marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the two”.

This all underlines the importance of beauty to mass-market fashion retailers with a credible beauty line now seen as a must-have.

And such lines are increasingly treading on the toes of more premium lines both in their ingredients and especially in their packaging.

H&M said it’s come up with “reimagined formulas” that “called for a total makeover on the outside and leading the way in the new design of the H&M Beauty line is the brand’s signature red colour”.

The crimson packaging, “reserved only for their most iconic products such as Volume Icon Lash mascara and Satin Icon lipstick, marks must-have quality”.

Pricing remains firmly in the mass-market with mascaras retailing for €9.99.

It all comes with a global campaign to support the debut. Called ‘Make Up Stories’, it “encourages beauty lovers by portraying make-up as the start of every big and memorable moment. Raoúl Alejandre’s looks have always told stories and his work for H&M Beauty is no exception. This shared appreciation for the power of make-up is what makes him a natural fit for the campaign”.
