British fashion schools are on a roll. Two recent initiatives bear witness to this. Kering has just announced that it is renewing its partnership with the London College of Fashion. While Milanese luxury temple 10 Corso Como has teamed up with Central Saint Martins to produce a capsule collection.

The brand invited Masters students from the famous London institution, who are taking the MA Fashion course, to design a capsule collection of gender-neutral accessories by 10 Corso Como, reinterpreting its logo. Of the 40 students taking part in the project, five finalists will be selected in April, who will have to refine their proposals by creating a prototype.

In May, a jury of international fashion experts, including the concept store's president Tiziana Fausti, its managing director Gianluca Borghi and the director of the fashion course at Central Saint Martins Fabio Piras, will choose a winner, whose capsule collection will be produced and marketed through the Milan-based store's sales network. The winner will have the opportunity to sign a collaboration agreement to design an entire collection in the colours of 10 Corso Como.

For its part, Kering is launching the second phase of its partnership with the London College of Fashion through a brand new programme dedicated to governance that takes account of eco-responsible challenges. This three-year course "aims to train future players in the fashion industry to create sustainable governance models," it explains in a press release.

The luxury giant joined forces with the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at London College of Fashion in 2025 through the Kering x CSF programme reserved for students at the British school and MOOC (massive open online course) Fashion Values.

"To bring about a real transformation in the fashion sector, but also in other industries, the new Kering x CSF programme will integrate the principles of interspecies, intergenerational and intragenerational justice (Rockstrom's "3Is") into new models of governance. Organised in real committees, these students will work on multi-disciplinary research projects and take part in exchanges with researchers to develop the appropriate skills," says the Group.
