French Connection is back is store opening mode and has chosen  Icon Outlet at The O2 to open its first outlet store in six years.

The mall, in Greenwich, South London, is owned and operated by AEG and Crosstree Real Estate Partners, and benefits from massive footfall because of its link to the giant O2 entertainment venue.

French Connection will open a 1,766 sq ft store later this month, which will be its first outlet location in London.

The store will be adjacent to Clarins and Ted Baker on the upper level and will stock both clothing and accessories for men and women.

We’re told the new space “will be an extension of the brand’s aesthetic, with a clean and minimalist design to enhance and complement the product offering”.

French Connection’s head of retail, Simon Donoghue, said “the mix of local and event-driven visitors plays to French Connection’s strength as a brand which offers fantastic men’s and women’s fashion to a broad audience”.

The news of the opening follows the recent upsize of Tommy Hilfiger at the mall, as well as the announcement of Aatma Aesthetics, the skincare-led aesthetics brand, which is due to open later this month next to Jack Wills and Skechers.
