Crew Clothing’s results for 2025 have just arrived at Companies House and they show the smart-casualwear business continuing to make progress sales-wise, with turnover up to £101.3 million from £82.7 million a year earlier.

That was a 22% increase with the company saying that significant growth came from its existing marketplace partners as well as new partners. There was also positive growth in its retail estate and in wholesale. 

However, adjusted EBITDA dropped to £13.5 million from £16 million in the comparable 12-month period. This was due to the exceptional support it had received in 2025 linked to the pandemic with a number of government grants available to it at the time. 

Profit before tax fell to £11 million from £16.7 million and net profit for the period was down to £9 million from £13.6 million a year earlier.

The company said it maintained a disciplined approach to promotions to benefit its margins and its working capital, but remains cautious in its trading outlook. Yet it believes the brand appeals to an increasingly broad core customer base and is capable of further expansion, despite the well-publicised difficulties across the UK retail sector.  

Some of that expansion is expected to come from its online operations, as it has concentrated on driving its e-commerce business with continued investment in digital marketing, although it has continued to improve the optimisation of its store estate as well. 

While the company continued to make progress in 2025, it remains cautious given the tough backdrop in British fashion retail and said it has set a “realistic plan for the 2025 financial year that shows a gradual uplift in our trading performance, particularly in our stores and marketplace partners”. 

It also said it's "confident that a loyal customer base, sensible, marketing strategy and tight operating costs control will help Crew Clothing withstand the current inflationary pressures and cost of living challenges".
