Madonna has paid tribute to the woman who has inspired her for decades. The singer, who recently wrapped up her The Celebration Tour in Brazil, traveled to Mexico to pay tribute to artist Frida Kahlo.
“A wonderful souvenir of visiting the family home of my eternal muse, Frida Kahlo, in Mexico City,” the 65-year-old Grammy winner shared on social media. “It was magical for me to try on her clothes and jewelry, read her diaries and letters and see photographs that I had never seen before.”
In the published photographs, the pop queen is wearing a white dress with multi-colored flowers and a white caballero-style hat.
Madonna and Kahlo are the same height—160cm, and her petite figure could easily slip into vintage dresses that belonged to the pioneering artist, who died in 1954, four years before the singer was born.
