Cell Reports: late dinner accelerates skin aging and 黑帽快排分布式increases cancer riskDecember 12, 2025  18:07

Scientists from the University of Texas have found that the habit of eating late at night disrupts the body's biological rhythms, which leads to a decrease in the skin's natural defense against ultraviolet radiation. This may increase the risk of developing cancer. The results of the study are published in the journal Cell Reports.

A key component of this process is the protein XPA, which is involved in the repair of skin cells after sunburn.

Experiments on mice showed that animals that ate at uncharacteristic times (during daylight hours when they usually sleep) suffered more severe burns when exposed to ultraviolet light than those who followed their usual routine. These results support the hypothesis that dietary timing directly affects the skin's internal clock.

The head of the study, Professor Joseph Takahashi, noted that adherence to the right meal times helps synchronize the body's biological clock, enhancing the skin's protection from solar radiation. Violations of the regime, on the contrary, make the skin more vulnerable.

Scientists emphasized the importance of not only the composition of the diet, but also its timing, especially against the background of increasing solar activity and the increasing number of cases of melanoma. Experts advise to follow a clear daily regimen and avoid late-night snacks in order to preserve youth and health.
